Title: Ban system
Post by: krystianoo on March 09, 2017, 04:40:53 am
So how do bans actually work here? I get 22 days for speed gear, but a permanent ban for <10 death evasions with some time inbetween them?

Depend on admin how long he wanted a player to be banned because of his previous shits. :)
Or, there will be instructions to ban a player for how much long in their private boards for various rule breaking attempts.

Ignore this,
it all depends on ban history and the causes you got banned for.
If you have experience,it's even worse. Because experienced players MAY NOT get banned.

Hunting said it, if you or x player let's call him x, death evaded 10 times it means that he 's unable to stop breaking server rules. For example: 1st death evade will lead a normal player to a 5d days not more, speed gear usage will lead you to a longer ban even if it's the first time you get caught using it which may be 1 month 20d or whatever since the fact this one is a serious offense, but repeatedly breaking the same rule is even worst, it just means that you didn't learn anything and the ban wasn't enough for you. Hope this reply answered your question if not let me know it.

Well i am shahrukh's cousin and i know about him he has left breaking rules TBH that was a mistake done by him once a player has got the punishment of a permanent ban means he has got the punishment of what he had done so why remembering the past shits of him when he has already got the punishment of that ???
i think this is the first ban of shahrukh after his permanent ban so i dont see any chance of banning him permanent .

Well, I don't know shahruks's history but I remember he was banned like 10 times by sevrin if im not wrong, but I don't know what he has done so I can't give you a good answer, and if he was perma banned and after some time unbanned he must even not throw a fart in the server lol, but like I said I don't know what he has done, maybe posting an unban app in one month may work.

If he did /q or pause in-front of HARIS1 then it would be good but he just mistakenly exploded himself

He deathevaded in front of me by throwing a grenade and then running towards it standing still on it.
This was no accident at all, this was done purely on purpose.

Permanent bans is totally wrong as concept in vc-mp with total player count around 100 in best time of day. However anybody who once used hacks should be marked forever to inform admins about risk of cheating in future. "Deathevade" and other rules should be not so storng as cheating because cheating is very dangerous for whole gamplay and its very hard to control it (especially silent/hidden cheating as speedhacks).
And permanent bans for chatting http://ec.vc-mp.co.uk/index.php?topic=2911.msg15649#msg15649 it's justice of middle ages.

I agree with you, personally I'd never permaban a guy, maybe i'll if he's a ddoser or something like that and if he cheats continously a long ban  will suit him perfectly but not a permaban imo.

I think there should be a concrete line between "Death Evading" and "Discrediting a kill".

A guy falls off a roof or explodes himself is discrediting a kill. Technically, it is different from death evading because the person died.
Death evading is defined as evading death by using a command(/q or any teleport) to avoid death. The key difference is if the person is dead or not.

So, they are two different offences which should have different punishments.

Discrediting a kill, in my opinion is no offence at all and might as well be allowed. If not, the punishment should be much lighter than death evading. It sometimes happens in the heat of the battle and it is really inconvenient to play with so much conscience considering the amount of rEp0rT whoring that happens here.
