Denied, it's likely to be useless/unaccurate.
I think the VCMP's built-in status of 'away' is depends on whether player pause/minimize their game or not, so if we list AFK players by the 'away' status, the AFK players who dont pause/minimize their game wont be listed. If we list them by the 'away' status and use of 'brb', the list wont be accurate either as not everyone will say 'brb' before going AFK or says 'back' once they back so the list will be messed up. There's another way to check whether they are back or not(movement/activity), but i think it's just not worth to check every single players just for a cmd that's rarely to be used.
