I think you don't know what is the main purpose behind /ignore cmd (read rules again as it clearly explains the main purpose of ignoring cmd).

Ignore command is added to prevented the trash talk such as provoking, criticism but rules never allows you people to insult someone family with or without any reason and when the victim is intends to report you back for insulting his family, then you people are starting to claim that he should’ve to use ignore cmd instead of reporting which will never be an ending solution to secure the server reputation and I’m pretty sure you are well enlightened about it that nobody is suppose to family abuse with or without any reason and the one who’ll caught for doing such bad deeds either by intentionally or unintentionally will have to face the consequences according to the language he uses  in his abusing.

Least and last you have been shunned for 3 days, make sure the next punishment for repeating same thing will be more harsh than this.
