To sort this thing out, they're not the only one who's having that nick it's expected to have a similar nick to his/her, unless it is in their intention to impersonate as the original player that tends to believe other player that it is really him. There's no suitable punishment for this maybe just a word from any of the admin that the nick he took is already taken, simple as that.
