Not only this, but there's actually a bug that is related to this that can be exploited to kill someone while their spawn protection is on, the worst part is that the killer goes unpunished/undetected by the server scripts for said spawnkill (which normally should kick in when someone gets killed with protection on).
I don't know exactly how this exploit works but I've seen it happen a couple of times.

Warhol luckily didn't figure out this exploit... yet.
